Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born on the 9th of August 1963 at Newark New Jersey. She is the mother of gospel singer Cissy Houston(nee Emily Lee Drinkard), and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney Elizabeth Houston's sister Dionne Warswick sings as well. When she was a kid, she sang in her New Hope Baptist Church in Newark. At the age of she reached the age of 15, Houston had sung professionally backing vocals with her mother on Chaka Khan's song from 1978 Im Every Woman. It sold in excess of 44 million copies around the world. It was also in 1993 that she married Bobby Brown, an ex-New Edition singer with whom she bore her only child Bobbi Kristina Brown.
