Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial musician and singer who blends Soul gospel Jazz and R&B with a distinctive mix. Avery Sunshine's work has led her all over the world, from Broadway to European concerts and festivals and even to her participation in the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. Her birthplace is Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her career in music by singing and playing the piano at church. After attending Spellman College, Atlanta she began her musical journey on Atlanta's R&B culture. The very first song to feature her voice was Stalk You the Japanese version of 12 song. It has been remixed and a part of her repertoire. The Fighting Temptations was the second soundtrack that she sang on. She was appointed as the main keyboardist of Tyler Perry's play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as the director of chorus for Dreamgirls which was a stage production of Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained attention in the performances that took place over four days during the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine went on to sing during the 2009 Obama Inauguration.
